I remember the first time I saw wysteria when I came to NC, it took my breath away and still does. The trees were hanging full of it and the entire state was a beautiful hugh of purple. To me this plant is just a true Southern plant and you just gotta have it if you live in the South. This one is formed into a tree and is much easier to contain and control as Wysteria will literally grow up and over anything it touches. It can also be a destructive plant vine if planted near your house because it will creep up under vinyl siding or into the guttering and destroy it once the vine grows larger. It is very invasive to say the least. But to me it is Gorgeous with it hanging pods of grape pod like blooms.
