Each year it seems as though Christmas sneaks up on us so fast. I have always made a huge Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner but I have found that we just don't need so much food and their are so many left overs. The time preparing is exhausting and takes so much of the joy out of the day as a mom. I still do the large Thanksgiving meals but for Christmas we have changed up to simpler foods. This year we had veggies and fruits, some cold peel & eat shrimp with cocktail sauce. We had other things such as the stuffed grape leaves (which I love) & some mini quiches. We all enjoyed it and the clean up process was made so much easier.
